SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

08/16-2023 Sponsorblock is incrased with a lot of functions, options, and universal (desktop browsers), certain mobile browsers (Firefox...) and a lot of alternative YouTube apps. Very reactive community and owner. 08/05-2020 Not working now why? I used this in kiwi browser and with Newpipe to skip annoying sponsors in Android. I'm sad.

I've been using this for months now, and it is the best extension available after an adblocker. If you're someone who watches a lot of youtube, this will change your whole life, at least on desktop.

Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.
