SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos. SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced browser extension that lets anyone submit the start and end times of sponsored segments and other segments of YouTube videos. Once one person submits this information, everyone else with this extension will skip right over the sponsored segment.

You can also skip over non music sections of music videos.

This is open source and the entire database is public.

I have this and it's NOT working. I search for something on YouTube and the first result, followed by multiple random-ordered videos are SPONSORED, and these sponsored videos displaying in search results have NOTHING to do with what I typed in the search bar. This extension is not preventing sponsored videos from displaying in search results!

Works damn near flawlessly on youtube proper. However, I noticed that, even though I specifically toggled auto-skipping non-music sections on YT Music, I still have to manually skip them.

most of timestamps made by people on this extension are sloppy af, and it doesnt give enough possibility to replace faulty timestamps by someone who actually cares

It has some problems for me. The biggest is that it randomly makes chrome lag for me even though neither CPU or RAM shows any problems in task manager. I don't have dedicated RAM either. It lags even if it already have loaded so it isn't a network issue either. Sometimes it identifies things as ADs when it isn't but mostly it works fine. It's possible that it's conflcting with some other addon that I have enabled. I haven't trouble shooted it more than just turning it off.

YouTube videos contain embedded sponsor reads, self-promotion, intros, outros, and subscription reminders that waste viewers' time. SponsorBlock crowdsources segment timestamps so all users automatically skip these interruptions.

Install extension → it auto-generates an anonymous userID → extension automatically fetches known segments for any YouTube video from sponsor.ajay.app server → skips segments in real-time during playback. Users can optionally submit new segments by marking start/end times, and vote on existing segments.
