Out of the blue costing $2 a month for a plugin that just inverts the colors? Pass. I will no longer be using it. I am now using Midnight Lizard instead. It's a little more chaotic but you can adjust the dark theme to meet your needs with some tweaking. If it's free again i would use this extension but I will never pay for this.
Great extension, but trying to capitalise by charging a monthly subscription?! I don't think so... Uninstalling.
A sudden paywall, when our eyes were used to the dark mode, so we can get very upset? What are you, drug dealers giving free stuff and taking it away once we can't live without it? Not cool. Uninstalling it, me and all of my colleagues in the company.
Uninstalling. Like several others has commented, a subscription for this is not worth it.
I've used this for quite sometime, I don't mind paying but with some perspective I think what you're asking is too much. I pay £4.50pm for a google workspace. You want half that to maintain a CSS file from every user! Sorry but no you're going to net upwards of 40K per month to maintain a CSS file and the extension framework! as lucrative as you may see that I see it for what it is and would rather use a free alternative just for this alone. Adjust your price and many may reconsider.
i have been using your extension for free for months and now i put 1 star as a gratitude. Ye Dima Lazarcuck im giving it 1 star, go cry about it. Should have never made it pay 2 use. "buhu but its costs to update :(((" okey? i do not care. i will just switch to something that is as good for FREE. Have a terribel day. Hope every growthdot employee how made this not free steps on a lego.
absolutely loved it the first 5 months I used it, when I'm on call waking up to a dark screen instead of the harsh white light was awesome. All of a sudden it asks for a subscription fee and absurd permissions request. A one time fee I could have justified but this is just greedy since we already pay a subscription for the service any ways and all this does is add some CSS color change. Way to ruin a good product.
After the changes with the latest update for a subscription model and alarming permissions change, we have instructed our entire support staff to remove this extension and will treat it as a security risk and malware. Do not install this extension. Dark Reader suffices, although it has some small issues here and there.
Unfortunately, the subscription fee has ruined any interest in this extension for me. While I can understand maybe charging a one time fee, a subscription model for a set of CSS changes and color inversions doesn't make sense when there's a huge market of free dark mode extensions that apply to many websites, including Zendesk. Additionally, the extension now requires signing in with your Google account and the browser permission of reading and changing all data on all websites. No thanks. I've uninstalled and switched to a better free alternative.
