It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

I'm having issues where the extension is becoming corrupted and needs repair.

If you disable flash it will work on almost all videos, beautiful app for procrastinating and then eventually grinding.
LOVED this for such a long time, last update was Aug 3, 2019 and ever since you have to update this every time you want to use it. It's a huge pain! Look in the support tab at all the others with issues, not getting response. Looking at other alternative and uninstalling this extension. :(
It's still pretty good, but I'm sick of having to repair it all the time.
This extension works but crashes a LOT, it used to crash on kissanime sites but now it crashes on YT I mean at least fix the settings to comeup after repair, I have to change settings everytime it crashes :/
It's a great option for speed readers and watchers. Can even save time. Lately, I've been experiencing 'corruption' of the extension and have to 'repair' it but that only works for a while. Please see this extension back on its proper way again Video Speed Controller!
I just LOVE this extension. But in the last few months, it's stopped working occasionally and when I look at it in Extensions, it says it may be corrupted. I have been uninstalling and reinstalling. Is there a fix in the works? I'm totally up for making this a paid extension. it saves so much time!

I like this extension and i'm giving 5 stars but, somehow it gets disabled by itself, and I keep enabling it. Can you tell me what is happening? or if something is wrong with my settings
