It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Causing issues with Amazon Prime
WONDERFUL extension. I love it dearly and use it FREQUENTLY for as long as I can remember. Only complaint is it has started causing a black screen on amazon Prime video. I'd love to see that resolved, but it's still an easy 5 star tool even with that issue.
I've used this extension for 3 years and it's been excellent. It works on almost all browser videos, and it's delightfully non-intrusive. Highly recommend.
it was working fine before but now amazon prime video is not working due to this after disabling it, video is showing but after enabling video is not showing. PLEASE FIX IT.

A good extension but a little buggy with some sites like BBC iPlayer. And it's stopped working for Amazon Prime
YOUTUBEでは快適に利用できるのですが、5月5日から突然、Amazonプライムビデオではこのアドオンを入れていると音声は再生するのに映像が映らなくなりました。 非常に便利な機能のため早期にAmazonプライムビデオでの不具合の解消をお願いいたします。
I love this add-on. Unfortunately, there's a problem. Since yesterday (May 3, 2025), it no longer works on Amazon Prime (a subscription with ads). They block the add-on, all I see is a black screen. If I disable the add-on, it works again. I hope the creator can change this. I also hope this doesn't gradually happen to every Plattform. I can't live without the add-on, everything has become too slow for me, and I don't want to watch anything at normal speed anymore. ______________________________________________________ Ich liebe dieses Add-On. Leider gibt es aber jetzt ein Problem. Seit gestern (3.5.25) funktioniert es nicht mehr bei Amazon Prime (Abo mit Werbung). Die blockieren das Add-On, man sieht nur noch ein schwarzes Bild. Wenn ich das Add-On ausstelle, geht es wieder. Ich hoffe der Ersteller kann das wieder ändern. Ich hoffe auch, dass das jetzt nicht bei allen Plattformen nach und nach passiert. Kann ohne das Add-On nicht leben, mir ist alles zu langsam geworden, möchte nichts mehr in der normalen Geschwindigkeit gucken.
◎下記を送信した後に 先に不具合・対処法をご報告いただいている方が居た事に気づきました 対処法のご報告を参考に 手元の不具合も解消する事が出来ました ありがとうございます ただ 少し補足させていただきます Cromeの右上隅の ⋮ ＞カスケードメニューの下の方の ⚙設定＞左メニューの下の方の 🧩拡張機能＞登録済み拡張機能一覧 ＞＞＞の中のVideo Speed Controller の枠の中の左下隅の[詳細]＞下から5番目ぐらいの 拡張機能のオプション＞ 中段ぐらいの その他（other)分類の中の デフォルトでコントローラーを非表示にする（Hide controller by default）の項目の☐を ☑にする ＞最下段 左端の 保存（save)ボタンを押す ＞Cromeブラウザを閉じて 再度立ち上げて不具合が解消されたか確認する という操作でした ※環境によって日本語表示か英語表示かは違います ******************************************************************************************************* 2025/05/04時点で こちらの拡張機能を有効にしているとAMAZON Prime Video のプレイヤーと干渉して動画画像が表示されず音声のみが再生される現象が発生しています もちろん他の対策もした後で 一段階づつ原状設定に戻して行く過程の こちらの拡張機能を有効にした段階で再度不具合が復活し また無効にすると不具合が解消されましたので おそらくこちらの拡張機能とAPVプレイヤーとの間で不具合が発生しているものと思われます YouTubeでは正常に動作しています Geminiからは他拡張機能を提案されております 早急のご対応お願いいたしたく申し上げます
AmazonPrimeVideoでの障害 ビデオコントローラー詳細の、Hide controller by default（デフォルトでコントローラーを非表示にする）にチェックを行いブラウザ再起動で改善しました。 一度下部レビュー参考になりました。ありがとうございます。 他の方も試していただければと。
