It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

works just fine in html5 videos
Gosto muito dessa extensão, minha crítica é que vem com alguns sites desativados por padrão que era justamente os que eu precisava, como instagram e twitter. Estava até testando outras extensões e pensando em abandonar esta quando vi o motivo, pra quem quer saber como faz: Va nas opções da extensão com botão direito no ícone da extensão -> opções. Va no campo Sites on which extension is disabled > Apague tudo
I've been using this extension daily for years now, and it's fantastic. My favorite thing about it is how I can assign multiple different shortcuts for rewinding/fast-forwarding. One key each for 5 seconds back/forward, one for 10, and one for 30.
Doesn't work

Works really well, but for some sites, the rewind and forward doesn't work if you've clicked on the progress bar, until you focus out of the progress bar, by clicking on the video, or outside the video.
The function of speeding up or slowing down the video is very good. But the huge problem is that the default position of the UI / Controls / Buttons are exactly where the Youtube Shorts play button is so I cannot control it. I know there are keyboard shortcuts for it but I prefer using my mouse for this purpose. Please add on a feature where we can choose the default position of the UI within the video (vertical and horizontal videos). And also a feature where it will remember the last UI position (after clicking and dragging the UI). Will change review when this gets fixed.
Love this, super nice to be able to accelerate on platforms where it's not otherwise an option and have options above 2x speed, plus very simple and non intrusive
