This is an open-source extension that changes homepage of Youtube (only search bar) and drops recommendations/comments from other pages.
Extension requires access to Youtube website to change its outlook.
Extension icon opens a popup with an option to show/hide the comments section of a video (to check timestamps in comments, for example). In the latest version, an option to temporarily disable the extension was added.
You can hover over the YouTube logo to access the navigation menu – playlists, liked videos, watch history, etc.

this chrome extension helped me get rid of my youtube addiction and actually help me focus! I don't fall into youtube rabbit holes anymore, changed my life actually lmao been recommending it to everyone and this was the first time in over a year that a pop up for a review came on would love a mobile app version cuz i do still fall into youtube on my phone before going to sleep

Very usefull extension to restrict yourself from harmful dopamine hits and helps you use the youtube to its fullest purpose instead of getting distracted to sketchy thumbnails
I love using Focused Youtube. It cuts all the distractions which are there on the screen and helps to cut down unwanted stuff. Must use....❤️
