HTML Content Blocker provides a user-friendly interface to quickly block various HTML contents (Script, Style, Image, Object, and Media) on any webpage.
To work with this addon, please open the toolbar popup and press the desired content button (at the top) to block, then reload the tab. This extension has two modes to operate. The first and default mode is Global. In this mode, the addon is active for all domains except those listed in the allow-list table. The other mode is per-domain, where the addon is active only for the domains in the block-list table. To switch modes, please press the toggle button at the bottom-left corner of the interface. To add domains to the allowlist or blocklist table, please navigate to a website, then press the plus (+) button at the bottom footer. Likewise, to remove the domain from the table, press the minus (-) button. Badge icon text shows the number of blocked items for the active tab.
Note: The toolbar popup interface supports dark mode. To switch the interface theme to dark, please press the moon icon on the bottom toolbar.

thank you sir and may i say that is the true video blocker extension on the whole chrome store if may we ask you to add the ability to right click on the video and make it play when we want we wait for more extensions from you

The best
While it does block videos from auto loading, there is no option to right click on a video to allow just that video to play. I'm not going to keep turning this on and off. Removing this extension.
Fantastic app since google removed the native ability to stop autoplay of video/audio. Only suggestion would be adding a whitelist as others have suggested. Worth using without it though, I'll take the hassle of turning it off and on for the very few sites I want to play video for the huge benefit of stopping every video from playing automatically.
Did not block huffingtonpost autoplay ! "HTML Content Blocker" did. Find and install it.

Awesome add on.Now if I turn it on even youtube videos dont play.I have to turn it on and off frequently for different websites.So Please create a settings where We can whitelist some websites or turn the add on off or on in single website basis.
Awesome work! Blocked <video> elements wonderfully.
Now I can say good bye to all those autoplaying media and oversized animated images as well.
