The GetFIT App's Protein Tracker is a free, lightweight Chrome extension that helps you log your meals, hit your protein goal, and stay consistent — without needing to sign up, create an account, or leave whatever you're doing.

When you install it, you set up a quick profile — your weight, height, gender, activity level, and goal (lose fat, build muscle, maintain, or performance). The extension uses this to calculate a personalised daily protein target based on your body weight, and also gives you estimated calorie, carb, and fat goals.

From there, you open the extension any time during the day and log what you're eating. Search from the most common foods — chicken breast, eggs, Greek yogurt, protein shakes, fast food, drinks, snacks, and more — select the amount in grams or servings, and it's logged instantly.

The main screen shows a live protein progress ring so you always know exactly where you stand.

There's also a "More details" panel that breaks down your calories, carbs, and fat with progress bars against your targets, and a full calendar history view where you can see which days you hit your protein goal, track your streak, and tap any day to review exactly what you ate.

Most people who are trying to eat more protein, lose weight, or build muscle don't fail because they don't know what to do — they fail because tracking is too much friction. Apps require accounts. Apps require your phone. Apps are slow to open when you're mid-cook or sat at your desk.
