📢 February 2026: Sorry, Chrome 145 has a bug that causes problems with tab group operations (collapse and modify title). This bug will be fixed in Chrome 146. This is a Chrome bug, not an extension bug. All browser extensions with similar functionality are affected.
In addition to general tab management functions, this extension specifically enhances the browser built-in "Tab Groups" feature.
Features:
● Automatically create group for tabs through custom matching rules.
● Save and restore current tabs or groups (snapshots).
● Opened tabs/groups management: activate, close, expand/collapse, move to other window, modify group name and color, new tab in group.
Inspect the latest comments and rating distribution.

Not often do I find some new gadget, extension, app, or process that makes me yell out loud, "THIS IS SO COOL". But I did here. My dogs are confused.
So I got as far as importing the tab group config that I exported before I reinstalled Chrome. But I can't open/restore any of the groups from the saved tabs. So I can just look at the groups that I had previously saved, or open each website one at a time, which I'm not going to do. I'm not sure if the merge-type-of-arrow button is meant to do anything, but it does nothing when I click it.
非常棒的插件,希望可以实现修改规则顺序,按照测试好像分组是按照从上到下匹配的,可能会导致不按照预期进行分组
有两个建议哈, 1.能够支持搜索 2.可以在控制台上某个分组下新建页签
it's great!, thanks fpr sharing your work!
I love the extension. Tried a lot of extensions but this one just works. Also, ability to give keyboard shortcuts to the Tabs is just awesome. The only thing that I need more is an ability to jump to Saved Groups Tab with a keyboard shortcut and ability to navigate the groups within Saved Groups Tab using keyboard. I can open the extension through Alt+A but I would like to go to Saved Groups I am not able to Saved Groups via keyboard shortcut.
Insane!!!! Made my productivity go 10X
Great extension and exactly what I was looking for. One feature request would be to automatically ungroup tabs from groups that don't match the rules. Maybe a checkbox inside the group edit rules dialog? Desired behavior: I have a group that matches a task board hostname and if I click a link from the task board that links to something external it will move the tab out of the task group (or the new tab out if it was opened in a new tab). Currently it keeps it in the group it was navigated from. With this it would be possible to keep a strict grouping of tabs that will make finding something specific even easier.
Update: it really was the outdated "Chrome Apps & Extensions Developer Tool" app. After removing it, everything worked perfectly! This is basically the perfect extension for my use cases. Unfortunately it always crashes on opening a saved group. Doesn't matter which. So for now only 3 stars for its potential worth, I will update this review as soon as this bug is fixed.
This is surprisingly helpful. I only recently discovered tab groups and was looking for a way to use them more efficiently, and this is exactly what I needed. Thanks for putting this together! Looks like the author is a former Google engineer as well. I am primarily using this for the keyboard shortcuts. I am creating/removing groups on a regular basis. A useful enhancement would be a keyboard shortcut to rename groups.
