PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

Just tried it after Chrome built-in viewer simply crashed. Seems to be working and its great help, but I' ll check it out for the bugs other users mentioned (printing etch) and I'll get back. It definitively beats nothing though!
I only got a black screen but this extension worked just fine. A representative from Chrome helped me in finding the problem!

Solved the problem when Chrome's viewer stopped working. Opens PDFs immediately without having to click buttons. Excellent.

Too many adds. Can't remove.
No matter what options I select PDFs no longer work in Chrome. I have attempted all of the fixes and this bad boy just fails 100% now.
