PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

for many pdfs, it is displaying "invalid or corrupted file". Not satisfied with this viewer... uninstalling.

Finalmente já não sou obrigado a fazer download dos ficheiros PDF e a abri-los da pasta dos Downloads, porque agora eles automaticamente abrem no chrome e dentro de esta aplicação. Pelo que usei até agora merece 5 estrelas, recomendo.

Irrecoverably loses all your open pdf tabs if the extension is disabled. Just what you need.
opening pdf in chrome is nice, but there are many instances where fonts displayed incorrectly. and dont even get me started on printing pdf or editing pdfs that are forms.
Efficient and sufficient too.
