PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

This extension fixed my problem with the incomplete display of pdf files i had with google chrome. However, i really dislike the fact that it automatically download files without asking where i want to download it. It is extremely annoying because i switched from Safari to Chrome so that i can save my files wherever i wanted. Does someone as a solution to this problem for macbook users ?
great stuff, pretty fast. could be a bit smoother editing options like kami would make it amazing getting a lot of graphics issues when i switch between two pdfs. it kind of overlays one pdf on the other - requires me to go back to the original then to the new one and then it's fixed
Enabled me to view files that the built-in Chrome viewer couldn't handle. That part is good. It doesn't render well when printing, though, enlarging the page beyond the paper boundaries. I have to go back to IE and the Adobe add-in if I want to print pages from the file. Minor glitch: the "Toggle" button for displaying the navigation sidebar doesn't toggle. Once it was showing, it wouldn't go away.
There were font rendering issues in the default PDF viewer in Chrome on Linux. These issues were not present in Opera or Firefox. This extension more properly renders PDFs and lets me use Chrome for my day-to-day work. The only issue I have is some minor font selection issue that's difficult to track down. Regardless, I recommend this extension.
