Youtube keeps track of your watch history and automatically marks videos that you have already watched. They however only mark recently seen videos, which is kind of disappointing. This addon fixes this issue and keeps track of your entire watch history, such that not only the recently seen videos are being marked.
***How can the persistence of the database be ensured?*** There is an export and import feature, which makes it easy to create a backup of the history. This backup can easily be archived such that you can ensure that you never lose your history.
***How can I make sure that the database is complete?*** The automatic synchronization only considers the recent activity. You are thus encouraged to manually initiate a complete synchronization in the settings, which incorporates as much of your history as possible.
***Something is broken, I demand a fix!*** Please be considerate when leaving a review, this is a free extension that I invest my spare time in. If there is something that does not work then please file an issue on Github where it is easier for me to track.

This extension has been great, although it's been more buggy as of late. There's been moments of the wrong videos showing as watched and more frequently, not marking any videos as watched. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the extension a few different times recently to get it back to working. But because it's been an overall positive experience until recently, I give it 4 stars.
Love this extension to bits but currently it breaks the new youtube ui making none of the ui besides the video itself load. Took me forever to figure out which extension was doing it.
Total malfunction ― showing as viewed videos that weren't and that I wouldn't watch. (I won't uninstall the extension for now, simply disabling it, waiting for it to be fixed in the next few days.)

Works great! I love this extension, but I wish it would automatically sync watched videos from YouTube periodically. Sometimes I watch YouTube on other devices, but those videos don't get recorded with this extension -- I have to open the extension options and click the "Synchronize" button... why can't it just do this automatically once a day or week or so, so I don't need to think about it?
I watch a LOT of YouTube and this extension makes life so much easier in avoiding rewatching videos. I have a question and I can't find a way to contact the developer: sometimes when I open a page (mainly my "home" page in YT, it will show that I've watched a video when I know I haven't, not even hovered over it. Usually if I refresh the web page it will correct the problem and I'm mainly just curious why I'm seeing this.
Great extension, but please add an optiopn to the settings to choose date style, with american and normal options. (15.04.1994/ 04.15.1994)
Maybe this is the coolest extension ever. But I really miss the manual action. Like in extension PocketTube. There is an eye-shaped button with which you can mark the videos you have watched. This extension is way better than PocketTube, but doesn't have this feature, and for me this is the most important as Youtube marks videos which you even just taped I mean just accidentally pressed the button. And this confuse me. Please add this feature :) Like in PocketTube or checkbox next to youtube player buttons. I love this extension
I use a lot of chrome extensions and have spent a lot of time finding the best ones for my purposes. I have to say, this is one of the most valuable extensions I have installed, by a large margin. Extremely well-made (it just always works), easy to use (it's just fully automatic) and mostly bug-free since I only had one bug over the more than two years of using it and the dev immediately fixed it. Incredibly valuable extension. I would pay money for this, without a second thought, just to let the developer know how much his work is appreciated. Install it, you won't disappointed!
This is an extension from OUTER SPACE!! A STUNNING example of human ingenuity!!! So easy to handle , so extremely configurable : HIGHLY recommended!
