This extension will open a Compose window in Gmail when you click any email address on a webpage. It also provides a button that will create a Gmail message when clicked, using the page title as the subject and selected page text and link address as the message. For setting the domain name of your "Google Apps for your domain" account, click Options.

This add-on removes the menu item 'Copy email address' from the context menu displayed on `mailto:` links because it over-writes the mailto links.
Can you get it to work like the new Compose method in Gmail AND like the google Chat extension so we can email from any tab in chrome

didn't work -- my default email is still Windows Outlook!!!! I removed this extension and will try others!
every time i send email it never's go threw
The Google link for this site states: "This extension sets Gmail to open by default whenever you click an email address on a webpage. It also adds a button to the toolbar that you can click to email the link of the page you're on, as well as any text you've selected, using Gmail." FALSE!!!!!! LIES!!!!! ***ALL IT DOES IS LET YOU E-MAIL THE LINK OF YOUR CURRENT PAGE, NOT SEND AN E-MAIL TO THE LINKED RECIPIENT ON A PAGE***
Want a simple system to just allow me to send messages without having to check my e-mail (and get distracted). This does half the job - it allows me to send a gmail at a click of a button. But it has all this page link stuff added which i don't care about.

Probably the top utilities used on all of the computers in the house. Great quick way to send a link to someone else (or yourself) for later consumption.
