"Audio only youtube" chrome extension enables you to disable only video on youtube which saves internet usage more than 50% when you want to listen songs on youtube.
**Note: It doesn't support Youtube Live Videos.**
You can enable/disable it by just clicking on the icon shown in the extension bar.

Doesn't work for Youtube Streams. The video stops playing after 3 seconds.
I really like this app, i use it to lower my gpu usage during games, cause i like to listen to music while gaming. Only 2 things why i dont give 5 stars: 1. When you listen to 1 song, and than go back to the youtube search, the song will still play until u choose another song. Guess thats an problem, cause u dont pause it while not on music video. 2. Somehow i had n issue with 1 video i used to test if this works. i choose a video with lowest quality of 1080p. The first time i tried using it it worked super fine, the second time i tried using it, it did not load the video. Video was 2h long. I checked if its youtube or my internets fauult, but its for sure some issue with this extension Still would recommend this extension, as its rly good for normal use

So simple to use and works exactly as expected.
Amazing! saves so much bandwidth! I had to use a public network where the speed was nothing more than 500-800 kBps and that was only enough to load videos at no more than 480p (rarely). With Audio only I can listen to music in youtube and the quality goes up to full hd and even loads faster. I'd say that it saves way more than 50% of the bandwidth! Amazing, truly amazing I love it!
ultimate youtube audio
Well it does work but it seems to break ever so often and seem to make the performance worse. Probably going to remove the extension and listen to music on YT at 144p to reduce bandwidth usage hopefully. There are a lot of other ways but they required work which i did not wanna do but guess i have no choice. Thanks for making the extension anyways.
It does what it says. But I wish we had an option to choose the audio quality we prefer. I can't listen to music that sounds like a 128kbps mp3. Would be great if it could play the HQ *.m4a audio.
