I used to love this extension, I used it for years. Until recently it started SPAMMING me with notifications and popups I cannot turn off and annoy me to no end. It asks me to update my up-to-date Chrome. every. single. startup. It tells me to revoke access "immediately" from my hand-selected few apps to Google because they are "dangerous". This app has NO BUSINESS telling me how to use my Google account; it's a youtube helper add-on, not a google account security advisor, what are the devs doing. Then today it opens this random tab telling me "Important Changes, Updates & Breaking News …", once again wanting me to update. Annoying, frustrating and no option to get rid of these messages. This add-on is acting like a malware at this point. I am disappointed and i have to uninstall to spare my sanity. :( **UPDATE** I had a reply to this review as an extension to my review, that disappeared. I will just attach it in the review body this time: When I reinstalled Magic Actions to edit my review for a typo, a new tab was opened as I downloaded the extension. This page was displaying a progress bar for the install process, reaching and then stopping at 90%, which is a complete and blatant LIE; the extensions are managed by Chrome, not a third party website and the installation was already complete. This progress bar is then permanently stuck on 90%, displaying an ad, in hopes you will click while waiting. This is just shady.

Been using this extension for years (>5 years), but until recently its notifications has been very intrusive, especially when launching chrome. I don't need you to tell me Chrome is outdated, or let me know that you're updating your extension. There should be an option to remove these annoying notifications.

Loved it for a long time, until the incessant popups started occurring. Every time I open my browser, I'm given a popup from MagicActions about a browser update or security issue. There does not seem to be a way to disable these messages. The browser keeps itself up to date and my anti virus already scans for unwanted traffic. There is no need for this app to be flashing popups of any nature to users. This app has become an annoyance. I'd recommend finding another app that has similar functionality that doesn't spam you with shady links.

Those pop-ups are annoying. I was using this extension for years. You're adding functions that are not wanted. This supposed to modify youtube. Why I have popups when I use incognito mode? This looks like spying. So since youtube already have dark mode (and that was the reason for me at first to download this), I don't need this. Bye
