I see I'm not the first to leave this review, which isn't surprising. I had been an ardent user of Magic Actions for years - it used to be a great extension that was lightweight and did some cool stuff with YouTube. Now, it's basically an alert generator, which I will uninstall as soon as I post this review. I simply never installed this extension to tell me to "UPDATE CHROME NOW!" or to "CHECK MY THIRD PARTY ACCESS!" and yet every time I open Chrome this extension is yelling at me. Google does a great job already of keeping the user accountable via automatic updates to Chrome and routine security checks on your account. I'm not sure why the developers ever thought people would WANT a pop-up on start-up for something completely unrelated to what the extension is allegedly for. Maybe I'll check back in down the road, but for now goodbye. You had something great and then ruined it.

Used to be of some use, but then the pop-ups started. I don't need to update chrome, ESPECIALLY through a third party pop-up. And now it's claiming I need to uninstall other extensions, one of which is a script blocker? Way to paint yourself as a dodgy dev.

I've used Magic Actions for a long time. It seems that over time I receive more and more popups about checking my browser for updates and checking my google account for security. The account security link directs to myaccount.google.com. At first glance this looks legit, but after investigating the domains registration, I feel this is probably a nefarious phishing site. I've deleted the app!!!!
