I applied and certified for the exam and took part in the pre-test launch activity where I uploaded my picture i.d. and did a manual test of my microphone, camera and computer compatibility. I was given the green light and was told I was good to proceed with taking the test the following day. I logged onto the PSI platform 20 minutes prior to taking the test to again, performed the pre-test launch and manual test. This time, the proctor informs me that my picture i.d. was not properly uploaded to the site (I had to retake) and that my camera was no longer working. I had to call tech support 10 mins before my test was to take place, turn the power on/off on my at home internet modem and restart the whole process 2 times before i was able to start the test 15 min. after it was scheduled. During the proctors review and inspection of my test taking environment I was advised there was no gum chewing, food or drinks allowed. You virtually have to be in a white 4 corner room with the door shut and noting but 2 pieces of blank paper, a pen and your computer or laptop. No cell phones are allowed, no multiple screens, no docking stations (which just connect your mouse, keyboard and computer all together)... No trash cans. They want to see all 4 corners of the room and walls to make sure you aren't hiding something.... They want to see under your desk, the floor around your desk, the sides of your desk, under your mouse pad, under your desktop "blotter pad", etc... Oh, and they make you show clear visuals of both of your ears. (you aren't allowed ear pods, etc) and if you wear glasses, be prepared to show them off of your face... Also, during the test you are not allowed to repeat the questions /or answers out loud to yourself. I mean, I guess being able to take the test virtually (practically on-demand) in your own home is a plus. But I don't recall ALL of the super stringent rules being laid out before the test, sent in the confirmation emails or reminders they send after you pay. All they say is to "READ" the rules but don't make it easy to find or be directed to them anywhere else. I'm sure it is due to a few bad actors... but you're already a little stressed and nervous before taking the test, you do all the work and pre-test check lists prior to sitting for the test, just to be kinda struck with this non-sense on the day of your test? Is it worth it, I dunno. I was re-certifying after taking the same test 1 1/2 years go and letting my cert. laps... And I honestly don't remember it being this difficult to take online last time? I am so disappointed in this app and company. I was almost done with my exam and it completely closed out on me. I called PSI and could hardly understand the guy I was talking to. Supposedly they are issuing me a ticket to see what happened but will take days. This is absolutely unacceptable and the fact that I was almost done and had been taking the exam for 2hrs. I shouldn't have to take this test again and they need to make this right

my camera stayed on but the proctor said it was going out on their end, very frustrating to keep having your test interrupted and you feel like you are speaking to a robot in the chat.

I an so disappointed the app kept shutting off the Procter wasn't helping there were questions I ask during the period Of difficulties and literally got no response i didn't even get to answer half the questions because of technical issues and there was no reliable help

This is THE WORST WEDSITE!!:(.. i have to reschedule for the 2nd time. Very difficult to understand there IT Support System.,and got transferred like three times and still was not able to be resolved even thou i had one hour before my exam started., it was unsuccessful. This is very poor system

The worst experience ever. The first time taking it it would not load. I had to reschedule it and this time it shut off on me @ question 160. It took me 35 mins to finally get back on to finish my test. They need a better set up for test taking and we already have our nerves shot trying to test with this added stuff!
