BlockTube gives you the control to customize your YouTube viewing experience. It allows you to block specific channels and videos that you don't wish to see or get recommended with.

The extension is lightweight and fast, integrated seamlessly and does not affect your browsing experience at all, to an extent that an unsuspecting user will never know it's there to begin with.

Don't you dare remove this extension. It's the only thing that has been able to fully block people on Youtube. I absolutely love it.

I don't think it works anymore. I used to have colored bars on video timelines showing where sponsorships (and ads?) were, now the colored bar is gone and so I was just exposed to a sponsorship.

Funktioniert bestens. Nur, dass die Funktion abgeschafft wurde, mit der man in den Videokommentaren einzelne Kommentare/Nutzer ausblenden konnte, ist bescheiden. Die muss unbedingt wieder her!

사용은 편하고 좋네요. 랙도 없는거 같고요. 아쉬운점은 크롬에서 조만간 차단하는대 계속 유지 되었으면 하는 바램입니다. 2025.01.06 0.45 버전이 20시 기준으로 엣지에서 작동이 안되고 있습니다. 크롬 파이어폭스에선 잘 작동중입니다. 2025.01.07 18시 기준 엣지 작동되는대 되었다 안되었다 하는거 같습니다.

EDIT2: So turns out there is a way to get everything working: VPN set to a demonetized country like Myanmar, a userscript that disables the YT popup complaining about adblocker detected, and after those hoops, BlockTube works again. Obviously not something everyone is interested in setting up, but it works. EDIT: I spoke too soon as this extension triggered Youtube's adblocker detection for some reason. Disabling this extension allowed me to watch videos again. Thanks for this. I use YT to listen to a lot of podcasts, channels that put out previews of patreon content that I'm not interested in seeing in my feed, and it was incredibly easy blocking using this. Other features it comes with are also neat like removal of auto-generated playlists.

Works in the beginning, then stops working. Does not block channels anymore or videos anymore
