High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

The "increased contrast" selection really helps, especially for google maps. But, it would be great if the contrast was adjustable. Like some of the commenters have requested, a slider or numerical selection option of contrast and even brightness would be an fantastic improvement.

It wasn't bad, except when you try using youtube. Fix this, and I would be easily willing to give a 5 star review. (It makes the videos inverted, rather than just text)
At 67 yrs old I need more contrast between text and background. Still trying to find it may go back to other browser.
I put it on Increased Contrast and wow! I can see! I can read everything so much better than before. like it bolded everything.
Ótima extensão, sinto uma enorme diferença na visão quando a utilizo (em Amarelo no preto, principalmente). Já converti arquivos rtf para html para tentar fazer uso do contraste abrindo-os no Chrome mas não obtive sucesso, a página local permanece da mesma forma, alguém saberia como posso fazê-lo? Agradeço antecipadamente.
