This extension keeps a single pinned page to prevent closing Chrome when the last tab of the last window is closed (or every window, it's configurable). To keep the tab bar clean (unlike other extensions), the pinned page is inserted only when absolutely necessary. It also handles well cases when tabs are moved between windows.
"Don't Close Window With Last Tab" provides no user interface or interaction for users. It only lets users configure additional configuration in "Options".

I tried couple of extensions keeping chrome open after last tab and this one is way the best.

Thanks. One of the features I missed from Firefox.
I'm in the process of abandoning Firefox and at first had no idea why Chrome was closing. I'm using another extension that closes tabs with the Back key when they have no history and this was real easy to do. I'm surprised they haven't fixed this.
Not as good as functionality from tab Mix Plus in FF, but still very helpfull. Works only in one window, if more instances of Chrome is launched works only in first window.
I have been waiting this for so long. So happy I found this thing. I not a fan of multiple desktops (mac) so I alway keep one desktop open and chrome full screened so that I have everything like normal on my main screen and chrome just a simple 4 finger swipe over. Now I don't keep accidentally closing chrome and having to open and full screen it again. Just lovely. Fixed my silly system perfectly

Расширение умнее чем "Last Tab", создаёт вкладку только когда нужно(за это 5 звёзд), но хотелось что бы эта вкладка была пустой и не тратила трафмк на загрузку вкладки(как в "Last Tab")(за это 4 звезды).
