Go back with the backspace button! This extension re-enables the backspace key as a back navigation button -- except if you're writing text.
What's New in 3.0:

* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

Pourquoi avoir besoin d'une extension pour ré-activer un raccourci clavier utilisé depuis de nombreuses années?
Doesn't even work on THIS page. Screw you google, such a stupid thing to change.
Removing the backspace button as 'Back'in the browser was a completely daft decision. Minus several million points for good thinking. And no style point either. Tried this extension, but very disappointed that Google is not able to code a properly working extenion as it does nothing on certain sites... Uninstalling this one... Apparently here's one that does work (??): https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/back-to-backspace/cldokedgmomhbifmiiogjjkgffhcbaec Going to test this starting from now.

Doesn't work as it should. Plenty of reasons mentioned before. In flash it works even if it shouldn't, elsewhere it doesn't when it should.

Awful. Failed to work on the first page I tried. The removal of such basic functionality that faithful users have depended on for years is absurd, and "adding back" this functionality in a half-assed way is just insulting. Guess it's time to look for a new browser.
Because of morons who don't watch what they do on Chrome, now most people are feeling handicapped... This extension sucks...
