Go back with the backspace button! This extension re-enables the backspace key as a back navigation button -- except if you're writing text.
What's New in 3.0:

* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

As much as I love to use backspace to go back those permissions are insane. Why on earth would it need permission to read and change all my data on all websites I visit?! Also it does not work on every website.

Absolutely Pathetic. Who are you, Microsoft? If you don't restore this native functionality I'll be moving to Firefox. Giving me a piece of s*** extension that doesn't work consistently isn't helpful AT ALL. Way to go, you idiots.
Doesn't work on all sites, shouldn't even be necessary in the first place.
This SHOULD be a feature from the browser from the get go. It has always been a feature beforehand. At LEAST it should be a setting option, not an extension. What the hell google?
Why remove it from Chrome? Just why?
Sorry, this is CRAP. If there is an input box it will put the focus on it and delete the last character. I am not a monkey and if I don't have the focus in an input I DO WANNA GO BACK A PAGE. Everyone use "Back to backspace" extension to have the old behaviour back. hasn't worked on one site yet; this should be called/named: press ALT + <-- (leftarrow) instead of using backspace like we've all been trained to do and use since the 90's! Wish I would have read some of these reviews before downloading!
