Go back with the backspace button! This extension re-enables the backspace key as a back navigation button -- except if you're writing text.
What's New in 3.0:

* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

I think it's completely rediculous that Google lowered itself to Apple standards and tried to force its users to change something because "they think" its best. Way to go Apple....er Google!
Why this is not an option in chrome, why someone decided to completely remove this shortcut. Can't describe frustration caused buy need to install this.
This should just be a built-in option to chrome. Taking out backspace to go back really messed me up for a few days haha.
wow such an incredible extension that would not have been needed if you didnt remove the feature in the first place.
I give this one star just because of the removal - reintroducing nonsense. Could have just included this as a setting in the browser.
Why we need to give weird permissions to use Backspace button? Why this extension should manage my applications?
This is beyond stupid yet sadly something that Google seems to be doing more and more frequently. Guess I'll just have to fork Chromium and clean-up this idiocy. Thanks Google.

Many sites tell you for your own good not to backspace. But when you want to go back to the last website or two now I again can his my backspace key. Thank You Google.
