This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Not sure what's been happening, but over the past year or so, this extension has unfortunately become a pain to deal with. Over the course of about 6 months ago or so, I noticed that browsing between websites with this extension on got slower and slower. Of course, there's gonna be something of a performance hit given the dynamic nature of this extension and its interactions with the DOM. Recently, I've noticed that turning DarkReader "on" on a website may not immediately apply styling, and if it does, many of the elements are styled incorrectly until refresh. Not a huge deal. The most frustrating bug to me: often, when DarkReader is "off" globally, it'll still apply styling to some websites, leading to me having to uninstall the extension or use a different browser while I'm developing. Great free extension besides my points.
Highly Recommend! This is the first extension I install when spinning up a new browser. It works well and is simple to use. Issues are extremely rare and are resolved quickly.
Shame on those ungrateful people who use this great extension for free and then leave a 1-star rating over a temporary issue.
Sorry for all the users who use your great addon for free and then give it a 1-star rating when a temporary problem occurs due to a Chrome update. Better to ignore ungrateful people.

"Simply the best," as they say, but now there appears to be a problem on Google search tabs, and it will redirect you to an error page. still the best though.

①最近はデフォルトでダークモードが採用されているサイトがあるので、干渉しないように注意が必要。 ②サイトによっては、図の背景が透過されるなどして読みづらくなってしまう。 ③最近、STATUS_BREAKPOINTエラーが頻発しており、キャッシュ消したりEdgeに変えてみたりと試行錯誤したが解決せず、重い腰を上げて大量に入れたプラグインを一個一個切ってみたところ、（他の方もご指摘の通り）このプラグインだった。 気に入っているプラグインなので改善を期待。
Alot of my extensions got messed up with the recent GOOGLE update and causing google to be slow and insta crash, not on you guys & gals good luck on sorting out the headache/patch and dealing with the crowd who don't read.
