This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

i have been using this dark reader for 2yrs now is is by far the best in this category especially the Dynamic it shows the prober color of any page without distortion

i've tried a lot of dark mode extensions and this one is by far the best. it only changes the light background parts of the site, doesn't mess with the rest of the colors, and everything is still readable and clean and within the theme of the original site. it allowed me to assign a keyboard shortcut to toggle darkmode on any website, and it's a complete game changer. any time i want a site in dark mode, i hit the ctrl-shft-D, anytime i want it back to standard view, i hit those keys again. i absolutely love it.

Top notch extension for us, tired developers. Fast and well designed, and for those who say the extension is bloatware, let’s remember that in this age, web pages can use more RAM per tab than some old PCs for all the OS, and despite that, Dark Reader is lightning fast. Thank you, Dark Reader team! Sadly, Chrome Web Store only allows 5 stars, but here, have five more: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just "Stopped" working today, and it was doing great, until today! And when I tick the Dark Reader icon in the task bar, it shows up as solid BLACK without an text or icons or choices etc. I'm using Linux as my OS! And NO it does not have anything to do with my OS, since it is set a BLACK also for 12 years and 5 distos!
