This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

After the latest update, the <input> elements on our page are disappearing in the dynamic mode, and I can't make any changes in the "dynamic theme editor"

Absolutely amazing chrome extension Not all of the websites I use have a night mode, so this is a lifesaver. I have really sensitive eyes, and I sit in front of my laptop every single day, so this is helpful. The settings are very good, too. I like that we can turn the dark mode off for certain websites that already have a dark mode setting on their website. I would recommend using this extension.

Easily the best dark mode/reader extension. Super easy to switch off, the auto controls almost completely eliminate the need to fiddle with it. And then, most of the time Dark Reader is better than most website dark modes. One quibble, however: I've been running more browser based stuff lately, and I've been getting messages from the browser saying that Dark Reader is slowing everything down. Turn off Dark Reader and lo and behold, everything runs more smoothly. Most of the time this isn't an issue; only when also running other things in browser.
