This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

best app for dark mode, by far. works flawlessly every time and doesn't ramp up the fans like Dark eye. Once you get used to it, you can't live without it.

Unsure if this has been asked yet, but is there a way to make the extension active UNTIL I click on it? I don't like having to constantly turn off sites that I do not want the extension to run on. So far I go ahead and click on the settings of the extension and unmark the site that I am using but wished it work the other way around. If this was a setting it'd be perfect (unless it already is a feature and I can't figure it out)

I have used this for a while and whilst it's been great and it's very polished as a product. I have noticed it causing a lot of my web pages to crash whilst its loading the page. This has happened across my work laptop and also my home PC, which both have great specs so it shouldn't be crashing. The main culprit seems to be on LinkedIn, I have it turned on - it crashes every couple of pages. I have it turned off and crashes are reduced by 90%. It makes me having to turn it off most of the time, which isn't ideal.

The best chrome extension I have ever used. The inverter works perfectly about 95% of the time, which was surprising to me since websites today are so complex. Super easy to use and doesn't cause any performance issues.
