This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Please add a continuous slider UI button for changing each level (intensity) of the various image attributes (e.g. brightness, contrast, etc.). A lot of the time when I'm using my computer late at night, I end up going back and forth between various combinations of adjustments to the contrast and brightness, attempting (usually unsuccessfully) to find a balanced middle-ground. The limitation to discrete, 10% increments & decrements of the intensity of each image attribute should be a fairly easy fix given that you've already got the program to the point it's at now. Please add arbitrary-precision UI sliders to allow users to fine-tune their settings exactly as they wish. Thank you for your hard work. -Dan

Its super great! its the best solution i've found, i tried few others. that's much better. In terms what maybe can be improved (maybe is just impossible without changing the source code): - settings of google chrome and chrome web store is white as usual, - THAT WOULD BE GREAT: before loading a page everything is white. - Maybe some way of changing background color, like giving just a little bit of tint. I really appreciate your work!

Great tool, with an excellent set of options to tweak everything to exactly what any given user might want. Trivial include/exclude for specific sites as needed, and a great set of defaults to start.
