This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

Not sure why but when I have it toggled on YouTube, it lags the entire browser until eventually freezing. Liked using it as opposed to YouTube's own dark mode since it allowed for the ambient mode that YouTube only has on for light mode.

Кстати, у Google Chrome есть штатный способ для включения тёмной темы веб-контента: Написать в адресной строке браузера ″chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark″ и зайти по этому адресу, там переключить на ″Enabled″ или выбрать другие понравившиеся режимы из выпадающего списка (мне больше всего понравился с CIELAB инверсией). Это включит тёмную тему на всех сайтах, даже на этом. Причём при переходе на другие страницы не будет вспыхивать белый фон, как с плагином. Даже когда смотришь исходный код страницы (Ctrl+U), он тоже показывается на тёмном фоне (с плагином только на белом). Для включения тёмной темы самого интерфейса браузера (менюшек, настроек) надо зайти в ″Настройки / Внешний вид / Режим″ и выбрать ″Тёмная″.

Für mich erfüllt die Erweiterung nahezu perfekt ihren Zweck. Weiterempfehlen werde ich sie aber ich würde mir wünschen, dass die Funktion auch auf PDF-Dateien nutzbar ist, die im Browser angezeigt werden.
