This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.

Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.

This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

I’m very disappointed and frustrated with this extension. I’ve been a fan for years, but it has completely disrupted a project I’ve been developing for months. Initially, I thought the framework I was using was slow and buggy, but after some investigation, I discovered that Dark Reader was the cause. This significantly delayed my work and compromised my tasks. While switching back to white pages feels a bit strange, I can’t recommend Dark Reader anymore after this experience, and I won’t be using it again.

Klasse App tut was es soll. Ein Hinweis nur an alle Nutzer und an die Entwickler, Deaktiviert den Dark Reader wenn ihr wow.tv nutzt. Es kommt zu Teilen zum Streaming Abbrüchen etc. Einfach ausstellen für die Website und alles funktioniert super

I have been using it for about three years, and it’s gotten to the point that if I don’t use it, my eyes start complaining since I spend so much time in front of the screen. Worked well enough, but I've found through element inspector that it's been injecting ads into my search results lately.
