View and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files - without needing Office installed on your computer.

Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.

You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

This extension does what we required it to do. Several workstations in our company just need a viewer for spreadsheets and documents and this appears to do the trick. One concern we have, is privacy related. Being a Google-based product, does this extension upload any data to Google in anyway? If anyone has an answer it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This is helpful extension but does not support rtl direction !

I only get a blank white screen when trying to open documents that are stored locally. Of course, Google won't do anything about this, as they've probably got some random AI programmed to read these reviews and make vague platitudes about solving the issue, while the team (which is just 3 hipsters in a backroom) continue to screw off and not create a good product that plays nicely with everyone else.

My needs include the viewing (and editing) of Word docs and PDF viewing, and this extension allows me to do perform those tasks effortlessly, whether online or offline. Thanks for turning my AC/PC into a productivity powerhouse without additional licenses from multiple software companies.
