After the "other" extension put an obnoxious orange button on my Google results, I removed it and tried this one. Seems to work well so far.
Using this one after the other extension became malicious spyware. Works as advertised. Get this one!

Is this FOSS?
Be prepared for a flood of reviews after another, more popular extension decided to sell out and push a very shady feature that cannot be opted out. This one does exactly what is needed, no frills.

Does what it says on the tin
To those asking, the "block content on any page" permission is necessary to remove the page elements that comprise the Reddit preview frame, subtitle, and "View Post" button, but the inclusion of "on any page" in the permission is a bit misleading as the extension can actually only run on pages with these domains: *://external-preview.redd.it/* *://i.redd.it/* *://preview.redd.it/* As this app is restricted to reddit domains ONLY, this seems to be a safer alternative to the app that everyone is (rightfully) migrating away from. Always pay attention when your browser warns you that an extension requires new permissions!
