Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!

This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.

Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.

You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.

The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

i can at least view the timeline now but i still get errors when trying to view profiles, replies, and qrts. also lists dont work. its something i guess! if these could get fixed then itd def. get 5 stars!

WAY WAY better than the default. Amazing what Twitter can do when Elon isn't screwing it up by being in charge. This extension is better than anything he's come up with yet.

Hi dimden, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate your work on the Old Twitter Layout extension. I really appreciate that you created this extension so that users can still use the old Twitter layout, which I find much more user-friendly and functional. I have one suggestion for a feature that would make the extension even more useful. Currently, when I view a user's profile, I can only see their tweets and retweets. I would like to be able to see their quote tweets as well. This would be helpful because it would give me a more complete picture of what that user is saying and interacting with on Twitter. I've really had a great time with this Twitter extention!! It combines great old-school functionality and a stunning interface, making it a game-changer for the current shitshow happening on the original. I must commend the developer's attention to detail. The app's interface is thoughtfully designed, providing an immersive and enjoyable experience for the most part. Good luck, as you continue to bug fix, improve and maintain a great tool. They should probably hire you at Twitter haha. Great stuff mate **double thumbs up**
