Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!
This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.
Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.
You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.
The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

Its good it breaks the rate limit however profiles and trying to click on a tweet doesn't work fix that and its a 10/10
tweets on profiles are not shown "Sorry, that page does not exist"

really good add on and i love the 2017 style they added super cool!

I used the extension to bypass the rate limits, but it didn't really work properly for my account. Every time I had an account or a link, they would just tell the message "Sorry, that page doesn't exist". Still though, the layout is very nice

I still have the limit. still got: This request looks like it might be automated. To protect our users from spam and other malicious activity, we can't complete this action right now. Please try again later. People said it bypasses the limit but it still doesn't work.
the login page won't load so i cant see if this works for me :(
