Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!
This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.
Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.
You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.
The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

Better than all 500 engineers left at twitter
such a lifesaver with the recent silly changes. also didn't realize how much i missed the old layout <3
profiles are broken, but it looks so good! will be reinstalling it in a few days.
i love this extension, but id be nice to have the "this page doesnt exist" error fixed. as much as id like to only scroll through twitter and not interact with anything, i like looking at peoples profiles and replies. otherwise, good extension!

Fantastic! Most of what Twitter did since this UI was for their benefit, not ours. Thank you for doing the work of making this! But there is one big feature we really need - the ability to see tweets from our lists. That would free me from needing to use Twitter's current rate-limited UI at all. Please consider it, if you have time? I can contribute a bit of funding if needed.
Really joined twitter in 2021, learned about this plugin from a meme and I'm surprised on how good the old layout looked. When I clicked on other people's profiles, it says "Sorry, that page does not exist", but I'm still going to give 5 stars to the plugin
When I try to load an individual tweet It fails with "Sorry, that page does not exist"
what a beautiful extension
I can look at my main feed with this extension, but not much else. Unable to look at replies, searches, trends, etc. I just get a message saying, "This page does not exist". If this gets fixed, then I'd give it 5 stars.
