AI 产品解读Sales Cloud Everywhere - A Chrome extension that provides direct access to Salesforce CRM records, tasks, and engagement alerts within Gmail and Google Calendar
Eliminates the need for sales professionals to constantly switch between their email/calendar and Salesforce.com, allowing them to work on deals and update CRM records without leaving their current browser context
User installs extension and authenticates with their Salesforce account. As they browse Gmail or the web, the extension shows a side panel with Salesforce tasks, engagement alerts, and records. They can update CRM data, respond to leads, and manage tasks without navigating to Salesforce.com.

- The static analysis heuristic flagged 'subscription/subscribe' keywords as paid signals, but these are false positives related to push notification subscriptions, not monetization.
- Salesforce Sales Cloud pricing is not visible in the extension code but is a paid enterprise service - the extension itself is free.
- No login UI was found in the extension files examined - authentication likely occurs via redirects to Salesforce's OAuth flow.

The 'subscription' and 'subscribe' keywords found in the codebase are related to web push notification subscriptions (PushSubscription API, VAPID keys), NOT paid/monetization subscriptions. The extension itself does not contain payment processing, billing APIs, premium feature gating, or upgrade prompts. While Salesforce Sales Cloud itself is a paid enterprise SaaS product, the extension is a free client that connects to existing Salesforce accounts - the paid aspect is at the destination service level, not in the extension itself.

- The extension requires authentication to Salesforce's service via OAuth2. It uses refresh tokens, CSRF token exchange, and session management to connect to the user's Salesforce org. The code shows login URLs for various Salesforce environments (login.salesforce.com, test.salesforce.com, etc.) and an AUTH_PATH for authentication. Without a valid Salesforce account and authentication, the extension cannot function.
Great improvements lately. It is very useful for associating emails with various Accounts, Leads, Opportunities, etc.. Would love future updates to include automatic relinking of new emails in the same thread to a Salesforce object that has already been linked in the past.
Super efficace, c'est top cette intégration Gmail. Gain de temps ! Merci
The new way of opening the side panel, which I assume was driven by the recent malicious changes made by Google to Chrome to stop adblockers from working, causes problems. For example, when you have searched an 'Other' object type like a 'Case' to log an email against, you may see the title of one of the objects repeated multiple times in the 'Other' area- usually the wrong one. This is disconcerting, though things still work if you selected the right object when making your search. If the new-style panel (likely necessitated by those malicious changes Google made) just doesn't load at all for you, you may need to clear the cookies/site data for the 'force.com' and 'salesforce.com' (or, I guess, custom domains) then logout and login for it to work. Shouldn't be necessary, but if you have to do it, you have to do it.
As of today the extension has just stopped working altogether to link emails to records, whether using the new sidebar or using the old integrated view.
The Salesforce sidebar in Chrome directed me to make the change to the "new" sidebar, but the new sidebar extension doesn't work. Every time I try to log in it redirects me to a site that doesn't exist. I wrote this on 7/24 and I'm updating this on 7/29. To use the Gmail integration, I've had to remove the extension every day, reinstall it, and ignore the prompts to upgrade. Even when I do that, the next day I log in and the sidebar has automatically upgraded itself to the unusable version and I have to start over again. Would give 0 stars if I could. So glad we pay a ton of money to Salesforce for products that don't work and absolutely no support.
Re many others below: This new update has made the Salesforce extension unusable in the Arc browser. CMD+E does not open the side bar and even clicking on the extension itself does nothing. The only workaround (which my colleague shared with me) is uninstalling and reinstalling the extension, and selecting not to use the new side panel, but I have to do this multiple times per day. This extension functioning in Arc is a vital part of my daily workflow, so I really hope you’ll consider restoring compatibility as it was an awesome tool prior to the update!
Since the extension is suggesting to switch from the direct integration in Gmail or Google Calendar, it is not working anymore. There is always a redirection to a non-existing Salesforce-Page.
Globally a very good tool, when it doesn't clash with Google security updates... Edit (26.01.30) My users keep complaining of error messages, having to reconnect, unability to log emails with attached documents... This instability makes it all really frustrating. We end up with a lot of communications not logged in Salesforce because it's time consuming! And don't ask us to activate auto-log with Einstein, most emails will just pollute the activity thread. Please fix this add-on! :'( Edit (25.07.25): with the help of Salesforce Support team, I was able to reenable the addon for my users when they were encountering "URL No Longer Exists" popup. It requires a big cleaning of the browser, but in the end it works. The upgrade would have been better if seamless, but at least we still can use this powerful tool! Edit (25.10.16): hopefully the community is here, my users also have this issue of error message "Failed to get item details from provider". I revoked the Third Party link in their user details, and they could reconnect everything afterward, but it's not stable, they keep seeing this message every now and then, forced to F5 the browser. Hope something will be done soon, cause otherwise it's very useful!
This updated version is a significant improvement over the previous iteration from a few weeks ago. We had constant issues that now seem to be resolved. Thank you for that, SF. It still occasionally has issues logging emails to SF, but they are very manageable and there are no errors.
Uninstalled the old sidebar widget as requested. When trying to log in through this feature then, I get a 404. So bad. This extension is not working at all.
