- If a phone number doesn't turn into a link, you can select the text with your mouse and right-click to make a call (note: might not work with all numbers).

- If you don't like the extension turning numbers into Voice icon links, you can turn it off in the extension options.

I've used this app for years and loved it. Now I can't sent text through it anymore. If that could be fixed it would get 5 stars from me.

Like others, can't send a text anymore from the extension anymore. It's basically only useful as a shortcut to GV website.

Zero user experience insight. I was hoping for something like the hangouts extension but this isn't even close. I know I can connect Google Voice to my Hangouts extension but no, not really because it doesn't filter the spam, so that's a no go. Just a little bit of UX attention is all we need here and you can have four more stars -either with this extension or with hangouts, somebody do something please.

The extension has stopped working in Chrome. When I try and send a text message it says "Please try again" and it does not get sent. I uninstalled the extension when it first stopped working. After its Aug 22 19 update I thought it would be fixed, but for the life of me I can't get it to work to send a text.

google voice I have been using this app for years, and it has been great. Very handy with my headphones & mic. It is my phone now as long as there's a connection, even a rather weak one it's 100% clear and has never dropped a call. I like the app a lot, even though I liked the way it was before the change. I use it for reading and sending texting, and it keeps a great record of all the history for about a year so you can show what was actually said during a conversation. i give google voice 5 stars!!

Edit: just seeing this extension was disabled and cannot be re-enabled. No notice from ('don't be evil') Google. Was a very handy extension. But... when I try to reply to a text I have for several days been getting a red error message: 'Please try again.' I have to go the the Google voice site to send my text.

it used to be a great Chrome plugin but as of the last few updates it stopped working and i can no longer send texts with the chrome extension

it was hard giving up microsoft...now i must incrementally give up google...
