Used to be the BEST part of Google voice. Now placing a call is several clicks instead of one (forcing you to go to the voice webpage) and sending text messages from the extension is disabled by Google. Please google - change it back. Fix it! This extension was the very best part of having a google voice number.

This use to be the best extension until they removed the only feature that was of any value. Why do I need the extension if I cant use it to send texts!!! Google please give us back the text feature right from the extension!!

Use to love it until Google decided it no longer wanted to support it. I really liked the old simple interface. I really don't want to open another Page just to simply text someone, or leave it open all day as I don't like taking calls on my laptop which now rings through if I keep the web app open from my desktop. Thanks google for really thinking through how your decisions cut off long 10+ year google voice users from tools and pushing them toward wonky new solution that are not a good and not a simple.

This extension used to be great until Google finally broke it last month. Even though they hadn't updated it in years, you could still send and receive texts and get notifications. As other reviewers have said, sending hasn't worked on this extension for about a month now. You can still receive messages and get notifications, but it won't let you reply. Also, my extension has a weird problem where it says I have one new message when in fact all are read. If I get a new message, then it shows two messages unread. So, there is something wrong with it. It's a shame this no longer works. Hopefully Google will release a new extension that is updated for the current version of Google Voice.
