- If a phone number doesn't turn into a link, you can select the text with your mouse and right-click to make a call (note: might not work with all numbers).

- If you don't like the extension turning numbers into Voice icon links, you can turn it off in the extension options.

This extension is pointless and serves no purpose, all it does is link back to voice.google.com. How about creating one that has actual abilities, maybe view and respond to messages? View call history or contacts and make calls? 15 yrs since Google Talk and been moving backwards ever since

All this extension does is open voice.google.com in a separate tab, pointless. It should be a PWA version of the Google Voice page.

Please add incoming call and text notifications and the ability to paste images into a text message. This works in the old Hangouts extension, but doesn't work on the GV website.

This was once a great extension, but it appears it is no longer supported and it's turned into little more than a quick link to Google Voice. Please bring back the notice of unread messages in GV and the ability to text from the extension itself so I can give it the five stars it once so richly deserved. Edit 12/23/2021 - Still no love. Google Voice on my Android devices works great... Please update this Chrome extension so it works again. It would be an awesome Christmas present.

Forced onto the Google Voice platform because Hangouts is being disabled, but found out that the extension no longer has any notification capability and instead acts just as a link to the Google Voice website. Developers have noted that this is intentional behavior. It appears Google is finally trying to remove its Voice services?

I used to love using this extension when it actually showed my text/voicemail messages. Now it's been completely crippled to only be a semi-customizable link to google voice. Removing it after using it for many years.

This extension no longer provides notifications when you have a call or a message, which is particularly unfortunate because Google disconnected Voice from Hangouts, so this is the only way to get notifications on my laptop.
