installed extension, ran it and it stalls and locks up. Recovery USB cannot be created.

It works pretty well, I used it to help mod my Chromebook. I gave it 4 starts because I encountered a bug where everything looks glitchy
An astonishing number of negative reviews come from users who clearly don’t read even the basic installation instructions. As a result, they run into problems of their own making and then blame the system. In reality, the installation works very well and without complications if you simply follow the steps as instructed. ChromeOS Flex itself is stable, but not without flaws. There are minor bugs, and some hardware features are simply not supported – for example, the keyboard backlight on the Lenovo X13 Yoga does not work.

0 stars - followed instructions (below) ------------- 2 - At the top right of your browser window, click Extensions . - Select the Chromebook Recovery Utility extension. <-- not possible. Extn installed but doesn't do anything. 3 - Click Get started. <-- don't I wish I could ------------ ^ Steps do NOT WORK. Period. "Extension" does not open/respond/or anything. So can't create recovery media, and as a result my Chromebook is now a paperweight. I can see from others' comments I'm not the only one to have this issue. Google - Maybe ChromeOS is a good OS, but we'll never know. Do better.
