This extension measures the dimensions from your mouse pointer up/down and left/right until it hits a border. So if you want to measure distances between elements on a website this is perfect. It doesn't really work with images because there the colors change a lot pixel to pixel.

This is a great extension but it sometimes doesn't initialize and render. Besides that, it's a must for web dev work.

Excellent, but would love to be able to define a shortcut key!
Really cool tool, but it crashes on Fedora Chrome within 5-10 seconds of first use, requiring restart of the browser. By 'crash' I mean that the tool stops responding. Clicking the button again multiple times doesn't change it, and the tool doesn't work in any other window or tab once it's crashed -hence, a restart is necessary.
