When you control your time on distracting websites, you’ll find you have far more time to focus on the things that matter most.
To use Limit, simply enter the websites you find distracting and choose a daily time limit. For example, you could limit yourself to ten minutes a day on Facebook, or half an hour a day on Duolingo.
When you approach your limit, Limit gently notifies you your time is almost up, so you can wrap up. And when you've reached your limit, you'll be directed to Freedom's calming Green Screen when you try to visit a limited website.
- You can add or delete any website from the list of sites
- Your time limit for each site is configurable, from 5 to 500 minutes
- Limit comes pre-seeded with 10 distracting sites

this has been helping me so much now that's school has started again. thank you for this incredible tool!
A great extension!!
Simple, free, functional, and good looking. I'm using this for myself to limit my own distraction websites (ie: not for my kids). I like that I can toggle it on/off easily for when I actually need a youtube video for work purposes. I like that the "blocked" screen is simple and calm. I might recommend having some kind of "password input" required to turn off. Then a user can set a complicated password which increases the level of effort to turn off the block; makes it one more mental hurdle to turn off the app.
The extension is pretty good and focus on only one functionality that I want. The timer is pretty useful for self-monitoring but I wish it is movable or more transparent because sometimes it is difficult to see what's behind the timer. Other than that, everything else is pretty much on point.
best extension i've ever used
It just works, kudos to the devs
Great app. Only thing I would suggest is making an option for a timer only on websites with time limits.
Works as intended. Thanks
It works as expected. Love the simple UI. Thanks for making this great tool free.
Does the job according to its name. It considers the time spent only actively on a web page, not when it's just opened in the background. This is great although I specifically didn't ask for that and would definitely want this by default. My demands would seem too much, but hope the team would consider to the features below in order of priority: 1. The display timer box takes a lot of screen space at the top right corner. Would instead prefer it to be inside the extension pop down when clicked, or atleast an option for that. 2. As it's already having data of how much time is spent on each website, it could just add a basic report of website usage 3. User customizable text message and background image for sites that have reached limit. 4. This may not be a crucial ask, but if the background image could be linked to a wallpaper site it would be great. Thanks a lot for your efforts and providing this awesome extension for free. Really saves a lot of the very important wealth - time.
