Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

This extension allows you to customize font settings for different language scripts. For example, you can set the default font for Simplified Chinese content to be different than the font for Japanese content. The settings are per-script (as specified in ISO 15924) rather than per-language. For example, there is a single setting for Cyrillic script rather than separate ones for Russian, Ukrainian, etc.

Chrome will use the font settings controlled by this extension when BOTH of the following are true:

1) The web page has declared the language of the content (e.g., by using the HTML lang attribute); and

2) The web page has not specified a font to use.

To use this extension, add it to Chrome and then go to chrome://extensions and click on the "Options" link for this extension.

Actually it is not work well for Helvetica in Windows 7. I can select Helvetica family but it's shown in Arial... And not very good at Adobe PostScript fonts... i.e. Adobe Heiti. And the "Default" means the OS language, I thought it means any languages using Latin letters, but no. If my OS is not English, and I selected Latin-based fonts in Default, the whole pages gonna use their default fonts of its languages, it's weird. My opinion, cancelled "Default", create English, German, French etc. or just classified them into Latin. That's better.

finaly i can hide the ugly simsun! thank you very much! and could u add an feature like firefox, that force a specified script to use the prefered font? the settings here are script-specified "default". some websites have defined font itself and won't use the "default" one.

Doesn't work for me. Chrome is still using Han Chinese characters for kanji on many Japanese pages, even though I set the fonts to Japanese ones.
