Broken junk
It used to work flawlessly but now, the web importer function doesn't work at all even though everything is installed and signed in. So frustrating!
Ridiculous. It's alwasy stuck in a login loop. Verifies insitution, and keeps verifying the institution. Never logs me in at all.
It's always malfunctioning. Either it doesn't work, logs out frequently, or can't import literature. Terrible experience!!!
I have used Mendeley since 2018 and it has been flawless. But when I am at my final dissertation for my masters since yesterday it has been so difficult to maneuver around it. I am very disappointed. It has been so difficult to automatically cite, reference or even add the citation to my refence list on Mendeley directly from the net.
web importer nya kenapa ga bisa dipakai ya? ga bisa sinkron
I believe anyone who has to use Mendely is already not relaaaaxed and chill and DOES NOT HAVE 1200 hours to spend on troubleshooting. I cannot remember a single time when I signed in immediately, or extension worked on time OR I did not get error 404 and list goes on. I have tried every possible browser. So the problem is Mendeley not me. Unfortunately it is the institution's choice to use Mendeley, otherwise - Zotero would have been my choice.
This extension is so frustrating. When I try to import a reference, it prompts me to log-in with tiny pop-ups, which only work about half of the time. When it does work, I can't import a reference without refreshing my webpage, losing track of where I was in my reading. The extension also frequently fails to import references from journal's webpages or even pdf's of articles themselves. Once I finally import a reference after signing-in and refreshing the page (even if I just did that 15 seconds ago on another paper), the drop-down tab of the mendeley extension won't close, so it's stuck blocking 1/6th of my screen, again forcing me to refresh my page to continue reading (which means I'll need to login again the next time I want to import a reference!)... It is so tedious and cumbersome.
I used Mendeley reference software three years ago in my master thesis, it was easy to learn and timeless. NOW ,I have been trying for about 3 days to import articles automatically from journal website using this Mendeley web importer, I got mad. I had read and applied every step mentioned in Mendeley website, I even searched YouTube on how to use it. Unfortunately , it seems that I would give up Mendeley and search for another reference citation software. the more complicated the software, the more hard to use, the faster you lose users.
Works well on other browsers, but not working on chrome at all. Can't even open the plugin to allow it to sync to my Mendeley Library.
