When you install Scholar Reader, PDFs on all sites will have a new look in Chrome. To make this happen, Chrome will ask for permissions to read and change data on all sites. Scholar Reader makes no changes other than the presentation of PDFs.
• Preview references as you read. Click the in-text citation to see a summary and find the PDF.
• Read faster with the AI outline. Get a quick overview and click on interesting bullets to jump within the paper.
• Highlight and comment on PDFs. Highlights are saved to your Scholar library.
• Make it right for your eyes with light, dark, and night modes.
• Copy and paste common citation formats without leaving the paper.

Achei excelente! Melhor que os leitores de PDFs convencionais dos navegadores e ainda tem integração com o Google Acadêmico (Scholar). Vale mencionar que no Windows poucos programas desktop de leitores de PDF possibilitam mudar a folha branca do PDF para preto e este do Google permite facilmente fazer essa alteração muito eficientemente.
Seems helpful - Doesn't seem to work on PDFs within Google Drive, though? At least so far I haven't been able to get it to work...
Pretty great. So easy now to view citations! But it breaks Copilot's ability to read PDFs in Edge. :(
Really useful. Only 4* because it doesn't capture *every* link / reference, and sometimes erroneously highlights non-name words. But it does a pretty good job and makes reading academic PDFs a lot better.
I though it can be a different PDF reader, such as AI-based, but it is just a normal PDF reader? Please add AI function, for example powered by Google AI-agent like gemini. Thank you.

Overall quite useful extension, but there is a bug. For some PDF documents it changes the font and the structure of the text, there are random spaces between letters. When I disable the extension, all these issues are gone, so it is not the issue of the document, but of the extension.
