For Dragon 13 or later, this extension gives Dragon's full power in Chrome:

- clicking objects by name (e.g. say "Click Contact" for a link named Contact)

- enhanced dictating and editing (note: in Google Docs, you can work directly or indirectly)

I was shocked to learn that support had been discontinued for Dragon 13 Premium only 10 months after I had bought it. This is totally unacceptable practice and I have never come across an example where support is stopped for a product in under 12 months. In the computer industry product support stops after three years and can be as long as 10 years. NOT 10 MONTHS. Because Dragon was crashing Outlook, I was forced to pay to upgrade to the Home package, which I would have expected to have got for free or at a very heavily discounted price. I am still having the same issue in Outlook with Dragon Home so paid money and no better off. I now only use Dragon with Microsoft Word and the Home version does not work as well as 13 Premium, so am looking for a better alternative to Nuance. Looking at the reviews here for the Chrome extension I would not trust it and have disabled it

It's good when it works. That is about 50% of the time. The company needs to get this fixed.

Nuance seems to suffer from the same problem that plagued Quicken for a long time. The absence of serious competition means the company can afford to neglect Dragon's ongoing development. This is a problem with the Dragon package as a whole, not just the chrome extension. Last year I was forced to upgrade from Dragon to Dragon Professional because Nuance said it was going to stop supporting the earlier version. Given that I had purchased it less than a year previously, having to pay full price for another version was most unwelcome. But since I installed Dragon Professional, there has not been any software updates at all.so as Windows 10 and Microsoft office evolve through different updates, Dragon becomes more and more buggy. It regularly crashes Word and MS Outlook, and often exhibits bizarre behavior like marking all dictated text in green highlight, underline and italics.the only way to resolve these problems is either to reboot or to shut down all of Dragon's running processes and services, and restarting the program. Software this expensive shouldn't be that buggy. The only reason it is is because nuances in facing any competitive pressure to improve it. Let's hope Microsoft's recent addition of voice recognition to office 365 shakes them up a bit.

I just spent 2 hours on the phone with them, during which I read these reviews. They keep attempting to update and repair the Dragon program, when the issue is likely the extension because the program works fine. In any case, I just asked them to be straight with me so I do not waste more time. They were nice, responsive, patient. They were nice, responsive, patient and claimed they can get it working with Chrome for 90% of the people who call for support. I can only hope there is a solution, but I doubt it. If so, I cannot imagine they would not have added comments to encourage people to call to get a fix. I can't beleive I still have hope their "research team" would have a solution. No way they wouldn't be encouraging people and wold ist by idly will thousands are posting the abject failure of the extension. I have not seen one post testifying that it works. If they are just stringing me along to try and learn more, they will lose my business forever. I'm just asking for honesty. Really not fair to waste people's time.

This extension allows me not only to type into website fields, but to use voice commands to click on OK buttons (and other buttons with Words on them.) If there are difficulties with some websites, the "Start Dictation Box" command will bring up a box through which you can still type directly into the field. Without it, I can hardly type at all. It's versatile.

hi,I am not sure why every time I go back into chrome there is a request regarding the extension. If chrome is the preferred platform just let it be used without having to navigate. Further, it is a bit hit and miss. Maybe there is an opportunity for the 2 developers to work out the issues.

This has the potential to be a really amazing app if it worked all of the time. I am so sick of it crashing halfway through work and having to reinstated on a regular basis. Like other users, I am terribly disappointed and upset that after spending a significant amount on the product it only works occasionally. Nuance really needs to lift its game and get this working effectively. Until that is sorted I could not recommend Dragon Dictation to anyone.
