High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

It's awesome that it has so many options, but it lacks a vital one: white text on black background with the pictures left alone (no high contrast). Even better would be to have gray text (or adjustable) on black
It seems that only some images are not inverted where most images ought not to be.
Now useless since the update. Used in conjunction with windows inverted colours, for night time viewing, but now videos are left inverted instead of inverted back.

Very useful--reduces my eye strain. Only four stars because it tries to "help" in inverted color mode and increase the contrast on images, which means I end up switching back and forth a lot to try and see details in images. Would love the option to be able to invert the color scheme without increasing image contrast.
Voltou a funcionar, desde semana passada ele começou a travar novamente, não sei se houve alguma atualização, mas não está muito bom novamente.
i have no complaints, except that scrolling speed (performance) takes a major hit. because i seem the only one that makes this point, i wonder if i am doing something wrong. any thots? 08/22/13: today the colors changed. for the worse (only for this extension) it might be on my end but all i did is boot in the morning and bingo. i love getting bit in the fanny first thing in the morning. yep, after doing system restore point, google wouldnt work until it updated, which broke this extension, thx google. 10/06/13 - i updated chrome and now the sites with popup/active ad windows are fubar. is this extension still supported? i guess i am going to have to find some other way to dim down these gd blaring web sites.
It's good, does mostly what it says. Only 4 stars because some, but not all, images also get negative'd. Not sure why, as only some pictures do this.
it doesn't support Google Docs and Map, I have to disable High Contrast when using them.
Jammer dat deze niet direct in chrome bijgeleverd is. Slechtziende zijn en er dan nog achter zoeken is niet zo evident. Ik ben blij het gevonden te hebben. Thx
