What's New in 3.0:
==================
* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

Glad i can hit backspace to go back a page. Sad Google had to create an extension for this. Could this not have been a "Chrome settings" option for the sake of people that can't figure out hitting backspace will take them back a page?
It's ridiculous having to install an extension to do this.
Nice to see they actually listened, having this as an extension is definitely a good compromise to just removing it altogether.
You should not be the cause of a problem then offer a solution and expect people to be happy. Google made a mistake in the first place by removing the default back action without offering a workaround or a setting to revert it. This should not be an extension but a setting in chrome.
Give live back to Chrome
I'm conflicted.. I mean this does what it says and I came here to give it 5 stars... until I realized it was made by google. Why couldn't they just put an option in the browser instead of having to add an addon.. seems silly and counterproductive. Again, 5-Stars for function, 1-Star for The necessity. First I gave this a 5 for function, now I'm reverting that back to a 2, it works sometimes and not others. I just ended up on the beginning of a history and typing in a text field when the backspace functionally stopped working altogether. I assume it was trying to go back in history. Google why have you made something so simple so broken.
7.75KiB extension for a simple if in program code. Congratulate!
Give us the option to have it the old way it used to be.
If you guys have just added flags, we wouldn't need to bloat our chrome more with extensions
This should be an option in settings and not an extension. Just add it back as a setting so I don't have to install an unwanted extension. Backspace in Chrome should function the same way as every other browser and OS without requiring an extension.
